I left the prompt input field blank for now and proceeded to adjust three sliders: creativity, HDR, and resemblance. I decided to test what each slider does, starting with the default values.

However, I noticed some minor changes that could be improved, such as the color of my eyes, the addition of eyelashes that were not present in the original photo, and slight changes in the shape of my nose.

The upscaling was completed, and the results showed a similar level of improvement compared to the previous upscale. However, the prompt did not seem to have a significant impact on the outcome.
Continuing my exploration, I input a more creative prompt and adjusted the sliders accordingly. This time, I changed the engine to Sparkle W. The results were significantly different, with a higher level of detail and a more stylized appearance. However, the image appeared somewhat unrealistic and photoshopped.
Curious to see the impact of different engines, I changed the engine to Lucio and adjusted the sliders once again. The result was a drastic change in the image, with the background losing detail and becoming plain gray. The overall appearance of my face also changed, with noticeable differences in facial features.
Next, I decided to try upscaling a different photo, one with mountains and forests in the background. With the optimization set to nature and landscapes, the overall photo looked good at first glance. However, upon closer inspection, I realized that the upscale had replaced my face with someone who resembled Keanu Reeves, giving the photo an unexpected twist.
To see if maxing out the sliders would yield better results, I set all the sliders to their maximum values. Unfortunately, the outcome was not satisfactory, and the image still appeared pixelated and far from the remastered look I had hoped for.
Exploring Reminy as an Alternative
After thoroughly testing Magnific AI, I decided to compare it to its closest competitor, Reminy. With Reminy, I used the same images and adjusted the settings accordingly.
The results from Reminy were not as impressive as those from Magnific AI. While there were slight improvements in some images, the overall quality and level of detail fell short. Reminy did offer a color correction feature, but it had minimal impact on the final results.
